Overview
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking candidates to join our dynamic and growing faculty as Echo Lab Director. CHAM is a quaternary care, academic children’s hospital in New York City, serving the diverse patient population of the Bronx, Westchester County, and the Hudson Valley.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology services.
Assume administrative responsibilities in the Echo Lab.
Join as a Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Cardiologist with advanced training in pediatric echocardiography at the Associate Professor level.
Lead the Echo Lab and collaborate as part of a team of pediatric cardiologists.
Engage in research and trainee education as part of academic responsibilities.
Candidates should have completed an additional year of pediatric echocardiography training and have experience with transesophageal and fetal echocardiograms.
Qualifications
Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Cardiologist with a commitment to academic pediatric cardiology.
Advanced training in pediatric echocardiography; experience with transesophageal and fetal echocardiograms.
Interest in research and education of trainees at all levels.
Division and Practice The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at CHAM is growing and consists of 8 pediatric cardiologists with expertise in fetal cardiology, heart failure and transplant, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, cardiac intensive care, preventive cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. The Division has an ACGME-accredited pediatric cardiology fellowship program with four fellows and rotating residents. Offices are located in the Bronx and Westchester; the division provides over 9,000 consultation and follow-up visits to children and 400 adult congenital heart disease visits per year in the region. All division members hold faculty appointments at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Compensation and Benefits Salary is competitive at $270,000–$300,000, commensurate with academic rank, with opportunities to enhance compensation through clinical productivity incentives and bonuses. Benefits include 403b with employer match, 457 plan, tuition reimbursement, long term disability, short term disability, life insurance, paid malpractice, health, dental and vision benefits, and funds for CME activities.
