Position Summary:

The Director of Quality & Compliance will oversee the design, execution, and continuous monitoring of all quality assurance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives across Rise Up for Autism. This individual will ensure that all programs meet or exceed relevant regulatory, payer, and ethical standards, and will lead efforts to foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight – Ensure ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations impacting ABA therapy. Oversee compliance with BACB ethical codes and requirements. Lead internal and external audits, coordinate corrective actions, and track remediation. Develop and manage policies and procedures covering compliance, privacy, and risk management. Serve as primary liaison with regulators, payers, and accreditation organizations. Quality Assurance & Clinical Oversight – Develop a comprehensive quality management system (QMS). Establish and monitor KPIs for clinical outcomes, service delivery, and documentation accuracy. Conduct periodic site reviews and clinical audits. Collaborate with Clinical Directors and BCBAs to implement improvement plans. Implement root cause analyses for incidents and lead QI projects. Training, Education & Change Management – Design and deliver training on compliance, documentation, and ethical practices. Support staff onboarding with compliance orientation. Disseminate updates on payer and regulatory changes. Embed a culture of quality and accountability across all staff. Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Serve as advisor to executive leadership on compliance risks and strategies. Work closely with clinical, operations, HR, billing, and IT teams. Lead committees and task forces related to compliance and quality. Ensure consistency of service delivery and compliance across all centers.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in Healthcare Administration, ABA, Psychology, or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree. 7–10 years in healthcare compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs, with 3–5 years in leadership. Experience in ABA therapy, behavioral health, or clinical settings strongly preferred. Knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care, HIPAA, CPT/HCPCS billing, and payer audits. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and build cross-functional relationships. Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook systems. Ability to respond quickly to phone calls and emails. Availability, which includes Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00 PM on site at a different center, with flexibility for one day of work from home unless otherwise indicated by supervisor.
