Overview Responsible for driving supplier excellence across the full lifecycle of sourced and manufactured components. This role ensures supplier compliance with TK Elevator specifications and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) from onboarding through sustained performance monitoring and development. The position leads cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Field Operations to support existing and new product development, manage change impacts, proactively reduce supplier-related Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and record accurate information to support cost recovery processes. A critical focus is on the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), supplier audits, and corrective action effectiveness to ensure robust quality systems and field responsiveness. This role enables fast-track initiatives, mitigates risk, and ensures suppliers meet evolving technical, regulatory, and operational requirements in a dynamic and high-performance environment.
Essential Job Functions
Support Existing & New Product Development: Ensure supplied components meet evolving specifications throughout the development cycle, with systematic and auditable communication to suppliers overseeing design level impacts coordinating and synchronizing cross-components and subsystem changes.
Supplier Risk & Performance Management: Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and address issues with high-risk suppliers, driving sustainable corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Audit & Compliance Oversight: Conduct supplier audits based on risk, performance, and stability to ensure compliance and mitigate supply chain risks.
Performance Improvement & Recovery: Lead year-over-year supplier performance improvements and implement structured recovery plans for underperforming suppliers.
Data & Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely supplier performance data and maintain clear communication with stakeholders on escalated issues and recovery progress.
PPAP & Production Support: Lead the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), track readiness KPIs, and ensure the availability and quality of supplied components to support production throughput.
Supplier Optimization & Lifecycle Management: Oversee supplier selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and termination, ensuring consistent quality, delivery, and cost improvements and/or recoveries through prompt case investigation, responsibility-accountability agreement and recording.
Process Documentation & QMS Leadership: Lead the documentation of Supplier Quality procedures within the TKE Quality Management System (QMS) and participate in executive and plant-level quality reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Scientific, or Business-related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or fulfillment environments, with a strong understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and industrial processes.
5+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain or manufacturing, ideally within the elevator, automotive, or aeronautical industries, with a focus on operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
5+ years of quality management experience in plant, contract manufacturing (CMO), or corporate environments, overseeing quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in dynamic environments.
Proven cross-functional leadership and effective communication across diverse audiences.
Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to interpret data and drive measurable results.
Experience in supplier development across quality, delivery, cost, and capacity.
Strategic collaboration with sourcing to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply.
Adaptability and resilience in fluid situations with a focus on consistent outcomes.
Ability to inspire innovation and motivate teams and partners to exceed expectations.
Proven experience managing plant-level quality operations, preferred.
