This role is a Principal 5, Places Safety and Security Integrated Intelligence and Technology Architect, reporting to the Places leadership in the global safety and security function. The Places Safety and Security Integrated Intelligence and Technology Architect will be a pivotal leader responsible for safeguarding the organization's personnel, facilities, assets, and operations worldwide through a unified approach to security. This role requires a visionary strategist with deep technical expertise in physical security systems, AI-enabled threat assessment, and proven leadership in threat detection and security program development. Responsibilities
Lead two primary areas: Physical Security System Design & Management and the global safety and security technology infrastructure. Develop and implement a holistic security strategy that proactively mitigates risk, ensures robust system architecture, and enables effective crisis response. Define and champion a global physical safety and security technical strategy aligned with Intuit's business objectives. Envision future safety and security challenges and lead the development of innovative, end-to-end, intelligence and AI-driven security technology solutions. Provide executive-level leadership for the design and implementation of complex, global safety and security system architectures. Coordinate with senior stakeholders to secure alignment and buy-in throughout the design process. Direct the development of novel safety and security technical solutions, automation tools, and data analytics platforms. Lead platform management to ensure health, performance, and scalability of safety and security systems; drive change management and resources alignment. Define and oversee comprehensive data strategies to aggregate and analyze safety and security data globally; present actionable insights to senior leadership. Foster cross-functional partnerships with Global Safety and Security, Operations and Program teams, IT, People & Places, and other departments; secure executive support for global initiatives. Develop and manage relationships with vendors and system integrators; ensure alignment with Intuit's long-term security vision. Establish and enforce global standards and policies; ensure compliance with international regulations and industry best practices. Mentor and develop a global team of safety, technical security, and physical security professionals; model accountable decision-making. Oversee incident response and resolution of critical global safety and security system issues; drive proactive preventive measures based on incident analysis. Ensure regulatory and IP protection compliance across physical systems; embed protection for intellectual property and R&D operations. Lead strategic intelligence collection and analysis to identify threats, implement mitigations, and provide intelligence support to security decisions. Coordinate threat intelligence activities, maintain threat databases, and produce timely intelligence reports and briefs for stakeholders. Collaborate with law enforcement and intelligence-sharing communities; manage information sharing with trusted partners. Continuously improve intelligence workflows, tools, and technologies to stay ahead of threats. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Security Management, Emergency Management, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in physical security design, implementation, and management, intelligence analysis, threat assessment, and crisis management; track record of leading global projects. Experience with security systems and intelligence in a global environment is essential. Deep understanding of physical security technologies (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, mass notification) and incident/case management systems. Strong knowledge of intelligence gathering methods, analytical techniques, and risk assessment frameworks. Proficiency with AI tools and AI-assisted security solutions; experience with OSINT and open-source intelligence collection. Programming and data skills (Python, JavaScript/Node.js), API integrations, data pipelines, and databases (SQL, MongoDB). Solid understanding of network architecture, cybersecurity principles, and cloud-based security systems. Experience with regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and security standards adoption. Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across organizational levels and with external agencies. Ability to manage multiple global projects, vendor management experience, and strong ethical standards. Preferred certifications (CPP, PSP, CIP, GCI, CSPM) and multilingual capabilities.
