We serve the residents of McKinney and northern Collin County. Our main campus is a Level III Trauma Center. We provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services. We offer general surgery, orthopedics and women's services. Additionally, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center. We are also a stroke rehabilitation center. We are certified by The Joint Commission for total hip and total knee replacement. We are a part of the Medical City network of hospitals. Patients are ensured access to medical experts and advanced healthcare innovations across the network.
JOB SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing all functions of the Healthcare Improvement departments to meet the stated mission, vision, and values of Medical City McKinney and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.
You will be responsible for the administration of the performance improvement and patient safety programs of the hospital.
As the Vice President of Quality, you will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department’s processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization’s overall plan for the delivery of care and service.
You will, as the Vice President of Quality, be responsible for overseeing those systems necessary for identification, evaluation, and monitoring, reduction and/or elimination of professional and general liability risk exposures and participates in the organizational wide risk management program to ensure compliance with statutory mandates, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards of professional organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration of Hospital Infection Prevention, Quality and Patient Safety Programs.
Leads organizational performance efforts for TJC, core quality measures, and all other accrediting and regulatory agencies. Ensures compliance with TJC, and all legal, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements are met.
Integration of the Infection Prevention, Quality, and Risk Management services with the hospital’s primary function.
Directs quality programs based on evidenced based practices and supports hospital driven research.
EDUCATION:
MSN or Master’s in Healthcare related field required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
CPHQ or National Specialty Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
5 years progressive hospital quality management experience required, knowledge of healthcare regulatory & accreditation required.
