The Total Rewards Specialist works collaboratively with the benefits, compensation and merger and acquisition (M&A) project teams and varying internal projects and deliverables. The Total Rewards Specialist is expected to be an internal expert on global compensation and benefit plans to provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders while working on cross-functional projects. This role requires a high level of customer service, integrity, accuracy, ethical standards, and interest in working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment while also exercising a level of autonomy to meet the job requirements.
Benefits
Conduct comprehensive benefits due diligence for M&A activity, including identifying risks/gaps, cost implications, compliance considerations, and integration opportunities across all benefit programs.
Conduct thorough review of purchase agreements to ensure any applicable language is accurately reflected
Maintain global M&A benefits playbook to ensure consistent processes and best practices are applied to each transaction.
Prepare communications and lead benefits onboarding for acquired employees
Provide ongoing benefits support during the integration phase, including issue resolution, process alignment, and white-glove assistance for new employees and HR partners
Collaborate closely with targets HR team, Workday, external vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless system integration
Develop actionable recommendations to address benefits gaps, support talent retention, and ensure alignment with the company's Total Rewards philosophy and practices
Special projects, as needed
Compensation
Lead ad-hoc job architecture projects, assessing job competencies, job descriptions and organization structures and preparing role consolidation recommendations
Build and analyze internal compensation models to assess compensation risks utilizing internal benchmarks and market data
Develop actionable recommendations to address compensation gaps, support talent retention, and ensure alignment with the company's compensation philosophy and practices
Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to manage the compensation budget
Special projects, as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits roles
Strong math and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and prioritize
Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
Experience with global total rewards administration for a complex organization
Knowledge of accounting and finance implications of compensation plans and programs
Client service consultative mindset and acumen with experience supporting the development and design of compensation programs in a complex, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
Travel 15-20% domestically and international as needed
Preferred time zone: CST

The estimated base salary range for this job is $90,000 - $120,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy.
Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $103,500 - $138,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
