Senior Project Manager - Job Description

Who We Are STEAMe is a workforce technology company turning fragmented systems into engines of economic advancement. Our roots in NowPow—a nationally recognized social care referral platform that connected 13 million people to vital care services—taught us how to deliver multi-sided platforms that power complex ecosystems. We channel that expertise into STEAMe, with purpose-built workforce solutions that close data and process gaps, connect stakeholders, and accelerate job placement and prosperity at scale.

The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional implementation projects. You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring successful delivery of STEAMe’s digital and data infrastructure for customers and partners. This role manages multiple concurrent implementation and onboarding projects — managing customer requirements, project plans, and stakeholder expectations to deliver seamless onboarding.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven SaaS environments and excels at leading enterprise-level technology and transformation projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities Program & Project Leadership

Lead multiple, concurrent customer implementation projects across STEAMe’s product portfolio

Partner with the Implementation Lead, STEAMe Leadership, and customer delivery teams to translate strategic goals into executable project plans with clear deliverables, milestones, and success criteria

Manage the full project lifecycle — initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout — ensuring all projects meet scope, timeline, and budget expectations

Anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and maintain alignment across internal and external stakeholders

Establish clear reporting, dashboards, and metrics to track progress, and performance

Build strong relationships across internal teams and with external partners to ensure project transparency and accountability

Translate technical and business requirements into actionable project steps and plans for multiple audiences

Process & PMO Excellence

Create and maintain core project documentation including project plans, change management documentation, communication plans, and other assets

Contribute to standardizing STEAMe’s project management practices to promote consistency, efficiency, and transparency

Establish scalable playbooks, resources, and best practices to ensure consistency and excellence across customer engagements

Design, deliver, and continuously refine project management programs and materials for internal teams

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce delivery risk, and improve quality across customer implementations

Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and creative problem-solving across the organization

Champion an outcomes-based culture through data-informed decisions, feedback loops, and continuous improvement

Requirements

5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level, cross-functional SaaS or technology projects

Proven success leading digital transformation, customer implementation, or data integration initiatives

Strong experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with interdependent workstreams

Proficiency with modern PM tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Basecamp, Monday.com, or equivalent)

Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder engagement

Exceptional communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority

Experience in workforce, education, or social impact technology a strong plus.
