As a Lead Software Tools Engineer, you will be instrumental in elevating the experience of our development teams through a focus on advocacy, automation, and research. Your role will involve advising on, developing, validating, and delivering innovative AWS-based solutions that address the evolving needs of our development and verification processes.
Your Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain custom tools and scripts that enhance software development, testing, and maintenance.
Automate workflows using tools such as JIRA, Polarion, Matrix, and TestRail to maximize efficiency.
Create and enhance custom dashboards to visualize product quality and development progress.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and quality assurance, to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Seek and implement opportunities for improving existing tools and processes, fostering innovation and efficiency within the team.
Generate automated reports and test protocols that yield actionable insights into software performance and quality.
Your Qualifications
A strong background in medical device software development, knowledge of IEC-62304, and familiarity with FDA guidelines in a technical discipline, preferably software-related (Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field) with a minimum of 4 years of software verification experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of related experience.
Demonstrated success in automating processes and workflows in a collaborative development environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for issue resolution.
Experience with JIRA, Polarion, and TestRail, specifically in API integration and automation.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or C#.
A strong grasp of good documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Familiarity with HTML, Flask, and Nginx.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
A robust work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
