CLINICAL: The primary clinical focus will be Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). IBD Clinic services include advanced medical diagnosis and care by gastroenterologists. ADMINISTRATIVE: chart completion, patient follow-up, triaging calls and labs. RESEARCH: Participate in research and other scholarly activities to develop and maintain a nationally competitive research program. Engage other faculty to cultivate an environment that promotes personalized and multidisciplinary research. Identify and apply for funding opportunities that will support the mission of the department, program and campus. TEACHING: Participate in didactic teaching and mentoring of medical and/or graduate students, residents and/or post-doctoral fellows. Participate in the development of the IBD Fellowship Program. General academic responsibilities including teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Qualifications
MINIMUM:
Doctoral/Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate or Full Professor - normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization. Strong interest in esophageal and liver diseases and general motility in addition to inflammatory bowel disease. Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full unrestricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals they are assigned to perform clinical duties. The candidate will participate in the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical medicine. Must be board-certified/board-eligible in Internal Medicine / Gastroenterology / Inflammatory Bowel Disease. About Us
