What You'll Do
As a Test and Evaluation (T&E) engineer, under minimal supervision, you will determine and develop various approaches to achieve T&E goals and help guide and perform the completion of test activities.
Test duties include system level T&E of hardware and software with emphasis placed on resource planning, conducting ground and flight testing, process improvement/development and generating technical test plans for review.
Lead execution of testing at private and government owned test ranges
Work closely with Engineering to discuss test results, to include collected data and observations.
Collect and perform initial test data analysis for the system under test.
Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
4-8+ years test engineering experience
Current Top Secret Security Clearance
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time to support test requirements
Experience producing customer facing test deliverables (test plans, flight readiness reviews, data analysis, test reports, etc.)
Experience as a test conductor and/or test director, or similar (i.e. Range events in the military)
Must have a complete understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and expansive knowledge of related technical practices
General knowledge of test execution safety and risk management
Ability to understand new concepts quickly and solve problems across engineering areas
Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or the Intelligence Community
Experience with First Person View (FPV) drones
Unmanned drone or small UAS experience
Professional experience using data analysis tools or programming languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
Experience with Linux operating systems
Salary and Benefits US Salary Range
$113,000—$180,000 USD
