Azure-focused Data Engineer
who will lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-grade, cloud-based analytics and BI solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a deep technical foundation in Azure data services who enjoys building scalable data environments and integrating complex systems. You’ll be a key contributor in modernizing the organization’s data ecosystem — connecting on-premise Oracle platforms, Dynamics CRM, and telematics data to the cloud. What You’ll Do
Design and maintain robust data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks, leveraging PySpark for heavy data transformation and processing. Build ETL/ELT workflows that bridge on-prem systems, CRM tools, and IoT/telematics data into Azure Data Lake and SQL environments. Develop scalable data models and architectures using Lakehouse principles. Utilize Unity Catalog for governance and metadata management. Continuously tune data storage and query performance to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Integration & Quality
Consolidate and standardize data from multiple sources (on-prem, cloud, API, and connected systems). Implement validation and monitoring to maintain accuracy and reliability of enterprise datasets. Partner with Data Science, BI, and Enterprise Data Warehouse teams to align data solutions with analytics goals. Participate in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and advocate for engineering best practices within the team. Code Management & Automation
Work within GitHub for version control, CI/CD workflows, and collaborative development. Support infrastructure automation using ARM templates or Terraform. What You Bring
Proven experience building and optimizing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Synapse. Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for data manipulation and workflow automation. Experience integrating Oracle and Dynamics CRM data into Azure environments. Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture and Unity Catalog for governance. Working knowledge of GitHub-based CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; ability to dissect and resolve complex data challenges. Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach with both technical and business stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). 4–6 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Azure technologies. Why Join
