Overview
At Wolf & Shepherd, we blend performance and luxury to redefine modern footwear. We’re looking for talent to contribute to the future development of our brand. We’re seeking a Planner to join our Merchandise/Planning team.
Job Type:
This is a full-time, onsite position based in our corporate office in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities Wholesale Planning
Creates and manages the Open-to-buy projections for the Wholesale channel, including bottoms up and topline planning by account.
Partners with the VP of Wholesale and Sr. Director of Merchandising to create bottoms up assortments by account and by style/color, including projections for fashion needs, carryover, and core product.
Monitors inventory health by style/color/size and proposes solutions to reorder, transfer, or liquidate inventory as needed.
Analyzes key account selling for wholesale and DTC, attends market appointments, and gathers insights to inform future buy decisions and opportunities for product creation.
Owns department planning reporting for the channel (OTB projection docs, ATS reporting, Off-Price Reporting, etc.).
Creates and enhances department reporting as needed to advance the business.
Tracks Purchase Orders weekly and collaborates with Production, DTC planning, and Wholesale Ops to ensure on-time delivery.
Proposes in-season course corrections and coordinates inventory transfers, markdowns, RTVs, and reorder needs with leadership.
Participates in the monthly/quarterly OTB review with the Executive team and presents all wholesale slides.
Partners to review Omni Inventory Needs prior to each Seasonal Buy and uploads Production Orders for the wholesale channel, ensuring coverage for confirmed orders and ATS projections.
Retail Planning & Allocation
Sets seasonal assortment plans and inventory models for 2 retail stores in partnership with the Sr. Director of Merchandising.
Prepares and executes weekly or bi-weekly replenishment orders to stores.
Works with Store Managers and Retail Ops to adjust model stocks and provide product knowledge or visual merchandising support.
Creates Quarterly Product Knowledge Decks and presents them to the team for training.
Manages quarterly RTV needs and maintains inventory health to ensure the right product mix and store freshness.
Partners with the Senior Manager of Integrated Planning to keep Open-to-buy projections up-to-date.
Updates final buy assortment docs for Retail in the Visualization tool, Miro.
Assists in building department reporting/dashboards in tools such as Looker and Netsuite, and Excel as needed to elevate reporting.
Support ad hoc projects requested by the Manager.
What we’re looking for
3+ years of experience as a Planner.
Experience with replenishment planning.
Buying, Merchandising and Allocation experience is a plus.
Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas, templates, and reports using SUMIFs and pivot tables; comfortable working with raw data.
Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Self-starter who can work independently as well as with teams.
Flexible, collaborative, and forward-thinking.
Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment building next-level processes and operations.
Men’s and Women’s footwear background preferred.
Contemporary fashion or athletic brand experience a plus.
