Kilroy Realty Corporation Kilroy Realty is seeking a strategic and technically seasoned Director of Data & Insights to lead the execution of our enterprise data strategy. This role will drive the creation of trusted datasets, governance practices, and scalable platform architecture that deliver immediate business value through transparent reporting, financial insight, and operational intelligence—while positioning Kilroy for the next generation of advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions. Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Applications, the Director will be accountable for building and governing a secure, high-quality data foundation that supports decision-making across Finance, FP&A, Asset Management, Leasing, and Investments. This leader will dig deeply into data, understand business context, and translate requirements into realistic, high-impact technology solutions that strengthen enterprise performance. The Director will also play a visible role in shaping and communicating the data roadmap, ensuring executives and stakeholders have a clear view of progress, risks, and business impact. Acting as both a hands-on data expert and a strategic advisor, the Director will manage internal teams, oversee vendor partners, and work across IT and business functions to advance a world-class data capability that solves today’s needs while enabling tomorrow’s innovation. Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance

Lead the execution of Kilroy’s enterprise data strategy in close alignment with business and IT leadership. Partner with Cybersecurity to enforce secure, compliant governance standards for reporting and access. Establish stewardship practices and business ownership for key datasets and enterprise metrics. Deliver trusted, auditable reporting structures that support decision-making at all levels. Own and evolve Kilroy’s enterprise data platform (Microsoft Fabric), ensuring intentional, scalable, and sustainable architecture. Manage and mentor a Senior Data Engineer, providing technical guidance, reviews, and leadership on complex initiatives. Drive the development of curated datasets, semantic models, and ETL/ELT pipelines that reduce redundancy and promote reuse. Define and enforce development, lifecycle, and performance standards to ensure platform reliability and longevity. Reporting & Analytics Enablement

Expand enterprise reporting usability and transparency through Power BI and self-service tools. Standardize reporting processes across business domains to ensure alignment, consistency, and speed. Promote adoption through training, enablement programs, and documentation that increase data literacy and self-service use. Lead internal data professionals across engineering, analytics, and reporting functions. Oversee third-party vendors and partners, ensuring delivery quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness. Build and mentor a high-performing team grounded in technical excellence, business alignment, and professional growth. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a strategic advisor and delivery partner for Finance, FP&A, Asset Management, Leasing, Construction & Development, HR, and Investments. Collaborate with Building Operations to expand insights from building systems and IoT datasets. Advocate for scalable, business-ready data solutions that strengthen forecasting, operational performance, and strategic agility. Qualifications

10+ years of experience in enterprise data, analytics, or reporting leadership roles Advanced expertise in data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, semantic layer design, and platform integration Proven success implementing cloud-native data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, or equivalent) Strong understanding of financial reporting, operational KPIs, and business performance metrics Demonstrated ability to manage internal data engineering teams and coordinate external vendor partners Demonstrated success partnering with cybersecurity and compliance teams to build secure, auditable data environments Excellent executive communication skills and ability to translate data complexity into business impact Experience in the real estate industry or other asset-intensive environments strongly preferred Experience supporting forecasting, advanced analytics, or AI initiatives is a plus What we offer

At Kilroy, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $140,000 to $210,000 and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus as well.
