Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead global sourcing strategies across a $150M–$250M portfolio of metals (e.g., molybdenum, nickel, cobalt, aluminum) and energy (natural gas, electricity). This role supports three business units and 20+ global manufacturing sites, ensuring productivity, supply reliability, and risk mitigation.
What you will do:
Develop and execute global/regional sourcing strategies.
Lead complex supplier negotiations and manage strategic relationships.
Deliver cost savings, and supply chain resilience.
Partner with internal teams across manufacturing, technology, and business units.
Manage a team of 2–3 Senior Buyers.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field. Master’s is preferred.
10–15 years’ experience in global industrial sourcing, including 7+ years in direct raw materials (specialty chemicals) procurement.
Strong background in raw materials sourcing and supplier negotiations – ideally specialty chemicals.
Proven leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Salesforce, and data analysis tools.
Preferred: supply chain certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM), and project/change management experience.
