We’re looking for a detail-oriented HR professional to manage payroll and benefits processes while supporting broader HR initiatives. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate payroll and benefits data, process bi-weekly payroll, oversee employee benefits enrollment and updates, and serve as a trusted resource for payroll and benefits inquiries. Beyond day-to-day operations, you’ll contribute to HR projects that enhance employee engagement and wellness programs. Success in this position requires precision, discretion, and the ability to balance routine tasks with strategic initiatives. Process bi-weekly payroll and supplemental payments (focus bonus, corrections, severances, etc.) Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries Ensure accurate GL mapping and coordinate payroll reporting with Finance Manage tax withholdings, filings, and wage garnishments Provide recommendations and support Wellness program activities Ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, and other benefits -related laws and regulations Maintain health and welfare plan documents (including Summary Plan Documents, CAFÉ 125, and Summary of Material Modifications) and ensure timely and accurate filings (5500 forms, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid reporting) Administer employee leaves of absence, calculate premiums, and track balances Maintain confidential reporting and coordination with benefit providers and stop-loss carriers Ensure the confidential reporting to benefit providers including personnel documentation to the stop loss carrier Assist with Workers’ Compensation claims and support annual audits Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefits trends and legislation Maintain HRIS data accuracy and integrity Ensure timely and accurate ACA filings (1094/1095) Provide payroll and benefits documentation for audits Generate reports and analytics to support HR leadership and continuous process improvements Support special HR programs and events (e.g., bi-annual shoe truck events) Adhere to IATF 16949 and internal quality standards (IQI) Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment (6IMS-Standard) Perform other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration. Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG) and HRIS platforms Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel Familiarity with payroll/HR reporting tools and general ledger processes Knowledge of employment laws, tax regulations, and benefits compliance (COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA) Knowledge of ACA and other federal/state labor laws Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and communication skills Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability Ability to manage deadlines and handle sensitive information with discretion High ethical standards, reliability, and commitment Consistent attendance and punctuality
