$55,000 - $65,000

The

Lead EHR Developer

is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining forms and reports within the

MyAvatar Electronic Health Record (EHR)

system. This position plays a key role in improving clinical documentation, streamlining workflows, and ensuring data integrity across clinical, administrative, and compliance functions.

This role requires strong technical expertise, an understanding of healthcare data standards, and the ability to translate user needs into efficient, user-friendly system solutions. The Lead EHR Developer will collaborate closely with

clinical staff, program managers, IT personnel, vendors,

and other developers to continuously enhance system performance and usability.

Minimum Education & Licensing Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience with MyAvatar EHR (required or strongly preferred), including:

Form development

Report customization

System configuration

Technical Proficiency

Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

C#, Python, Excel, and advanced SQL queries

Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows, especially within behavioral health or community mental health settings

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain custom forms and reports in the MyAvatar EHR

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop effective technical solutions

Ensure compliance with data standards, integrity, and security protocols

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for EHR-related issues

Document development processes, configurations, and updates for internal reference

Recommend and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience

Performance & Productivity Expectations

Complete assigned development tasks within established timelines

Deliver error-free, functional, and user-centered solutions

Maintain data accuracy and consistency across all EHR modules

Respond promptly and professionally to support requests and bug reports, maintaining clear documentation of resolutions and timelines

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience with MyAvatar, a deep understanding of behavioral health workflows, and the technical leadership to guide EHR enhancement initiatives. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are essential to success in this role.
