We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing team.
This position is located on-site in Sedro Woolley, Washington State.
Position Description Project Engineers are responsible for the execution of highly complex jobs, from cradle-to-grave. You will be a part of a value-stream team, working side-by-side with Operations and our technical experts to solve our Customer’s most challenging projects. The following essential job functions are performed as a Project Engineer:
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in project development of manufacturing plans, schedules, and quality plans
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are met
Complete Inspection Plans in conjunction with Project Planning and in coordination with Project Management
Verify compliance to codes, standards and customer contracts
Performs in process and final inspections on customer ordered projects as necessaryOrganize and monitor Corrective Actions, assist to evaluate and determine Root Cause and Corrective Action Plans
Must be able to comply with Safety, 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices
Develops detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawings
Works directly with the customer and internal technical teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
Communicates, consults with, and participates in design and manufacturing support
Helps to develop and release planning and purchases supplies
Maintains heightened awareness of the project schedule for each project as it moves through the value stream in order to meet key project deadlines
Facilitates communication and consultation with Program Management, Operations, QA and HR
Assists Project Managers in the execution of a project plan, including the development of Work Orders, materials procurement and organization, preparation of schedules and budgets, and various other project activities
Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
Qualifications
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Education / Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is required
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Must show a proficiency in technical writing through previous experience in producing testing plans, final reports, process instructions, or other equivalent activities
Experience with CATIA and NX CAD software is a plus
Focus, self-motivation and initiative is a must
Exceptional communication and presentation skills through written, verbal, and graphical mediums
Organizational skills to support management of multiple tasks and activities
Experience and interest in problem solving and improving processes
Demonstrated attention to detail
Additional Information
Salary range for this role is between
$80,000 - $145,000
plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
