SEnergy, a growing and dynamic consulting engineering firm located in College Station, Houston, and the Texas Hill Country, is seeking a Project Engineer to focus on low voltage projects for our Power Generation group. The successful candidate will have a systematic approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
Design and implement low voltage electrical systems for Power Generation projects.
Conduct detailed electrical calculations and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Collaborate with designers, contractors, and other team members to develop electrical plans and specifications.
Review project drawings and provide technical guidance on low voltage electrical systems.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper installation and functioning of low voltage electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to low voltage electrical systems.
Participate in commissioning and testing of low voltage electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Possess strong analytical and technical problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; 0–4 years’ experience in industry or related industry.
Preferred: 5+ years’ experience, EIT or PE in the State of Texas.
Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional computer skills, with emphasis in project management, spreadsheet and word processing applications.
Strong skills in time management, organization and multi‑tasking.
Proficient in AutoCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical
This position requires the ability to listen and hear, good eyesight, and the use of hands and arms while sitting, standing, walking, and performing other duties.
