As a Senior IT Engineer within the DCN Patch Management team, you will take ownership of managing the day to day tasks related to security Honeywell's environment by deploying patches/hotfixes and other security best practices. Your collaboration will be key in deploying, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise solutions while championing the adoption of our technology platforms and design principles. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
You will report directly to our IT Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona or Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.
Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.
In this role, you will impact the overall performance and reliability of our IT systems, enabling seamless operations and enhancing productivity across various departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Device Management: Implement and manage Tanium/Intune for device management in a Commercial and/or GCCH environment, ensuring the security and compliance of our IT systems. Infrastructure Upgrades: Plan, execute, and monitor upgrades of patching related infrastructure servers, as well as manage new server deployments and the decommissioning of obsolete servers.
Security Collaboration: Work closely with the security team to design and identify safeguards against potential security breaches, prioritizing efforts based on risk assessment.
Automation Development: Develop and maintain scripts for the automation and customization of IT processes to boost operational efficiencies.
Software Management: Utilize Intune, Tanium and PatchMyPC for software deployment, patch management, and inventory management, ensuring compliance with security standards.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement IT solutions that align with business requirements and adhere to compliance regulations.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve IT system issues efficiently, focusing on minimizing downtime and disruption to operations.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in systems management, IT infrastructure, and systems compliance.
Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for Servers (Windows and Linux) and Windows desktop issues, aiding IT support specialists in solving complex technical challenges.
Communication Facilitation: Ensure effective communication between IT, business units, and external partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the formulation of IT strategies and roadmaps that support overarching business goals.
Innovation Identification: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the IT landscape.
YOU MUST HAVE
5+ years of experience managing, administering, and architecting Windows and/or macOS MDM tools (Intune, Jamf, SCCM, Tanium, etc…)
Proficiency in Data Analytics by reviewing and actioning work tasks for complex data sets and dashboarding results with Splunk.
Advanced troubleshooting skills, including network, security, Active Directory, database, and application issues. Proficiency with server, storage, and network virtualization technologies; experience with cloud-based IT solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell or other relevant scripting languages.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Knowledge of security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
