Position Overview
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for students in grades K-12 to determine eligibility for special education services and inform the development of appropriate individualized programs.
Provide direct and consultative services, including Designated Instructional Services (DIS) counseling, for a diverse caseload to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Consult with parents and staff to interpret assessment data, foster a shared understanding of student needs, and collaboratively design effective Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and service delivery models.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in School Psychology or equivalent specialist-level degree
Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential authorizing service as a School Psychologist
Minimum of 2 years of school counseling or school psychologist experience, with a focus on serving students from diverse and limited-resource backgrounds
Proficiency in Spanish/English bilingual communication to effectively serve the diverse student and parent population of the Montebello community (Preferred)
