Overview
Brooklake Country Club is an 18-Hole golf facility located 25 miles away from New York City. BCC has been host to numerous NJSGA, MGA, and other regional tournaments. Our members and their families play 19,000 rounds annually from March through December.
The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team and assists in managing all golf and golf-related activities at the facility. This position will strongly assist with event and tournament operations, supervising and managing golf staff, tee sheet management, merchandise management, and ensuring an exceptional golf experience for all players.
Experience Required
Must have strong customer/guest orientation skills
Must have solid supervisory and leadership skills
Must have well organized and detail-oriented
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must have strong computer skills - Golf Genius, Publisher, Word, Excel, POS, etc.
2-3 years golf industry experience preferred
PGA Member preferred
Essential Responsibilities
Supervise professional shop staff and outside services staff
Train new professional shop staff and outside services staff
Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best guest service
Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
Assist in coordinating individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the Head Pro
Work with the Head Pro on all facets of the tournament program(s), specifically Ladies, Mixed couples & Juniors.
Work closely with Starter to monitor all aspects of play including starting, monitoring the pace of play, safety on the course, and golf course markings
Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite the check‑in process
Assists in the reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day
Teach and Promote the Game of Golf
Play Golf as well as Promote the Facility and Golf Course
Perform related duties as assigned
Benefits Compensation is estimated to be $45,000- $6 5 ,000 (Including Instruction, Bonus & Gratuity)
This is a full‑time, medical benefit‑eligible position. Also included; PGA Dues, clothing allowance, potential staff agreements, meals while on duty, and golf privileges.
