Hawthorne, NY Description: W&M Sprinkler Co., Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for our Sprinkler Inspector position. Qualified candidates will have experience performing fire inspections on the following items: Wet and Dry systems, Pre-Action and Deluge, Fire Pumps, Standpipe Systems and Backflow devices. Sprinkler Inspectors are responsible for customer service, quality of work and the maintenance of equipment. Responsibilities
Ensuring customers are serviced to the highest level of satisfaction through quality service, knowledge and training. Completes inspections reports neatly and in a timely fashion. Reviews inspection results with the customer. Maintains equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order. Knows/Learns the NFPA 25 codes for inspection and testing of water based fire protection sprinkler systems. Stays current with code requirements and industry changes. Interfaces closely with the Inspection Coordinator and Service Manager to ensure that the customer receives the scheduled work as promised. Requirements: NICET certification, FDNY S12, S13 and S14 Certificate of Fitness License and Certified NYS Backflow Testing License are preferred but may not be required. Candidates may be required to work in the five boroughs of NY and must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. High School Diploma with basic to moderate computer skills and two plus years of experience. Candidates offered a position will be subject to a drug screen and a motor vehicle record check. Pay Range:
