GPD is excited to expand our team due to growth in substation and transmission design and modeling innovation in the Power industry. We are hiring Electrical Engineers in Akron, OH, and Columbus, OH, to partner with Project Managers in designing high-voltage substations and power infrastructure. We work directly with communities to support power distribution.
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.
7+ years of experience in power delivery – medium to high voltage (12kV to 345kV).
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering a plus.
Leadership skills, serving as a technical expert and community and company leader.
Experience mentoring and empowering junior engineers.
Design oversight experience for power projects.
Proficiency in developing relay protection schemes and settings.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
Ability to thrive in collaborative environments and communicate effectively with clients and team members (virtually, in-person, via phone).
