Base pay range

$17.35/hr - $19.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Recommend items for sale, including trade-up or companion items, and assist with OTC products.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status and report prescription errors.
• Maintain counters and shelves clean and well‑merchandised, take inventory, and keep records.
• Implement asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance for a clean, neat store condition.
• Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete special assignments as directed.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.

Operations

• Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, distribute change, and process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommend items for sale and provide cross‑selling opportunities.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status.
• Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
• Implement company asset protection procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance ensuring a clean store appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Require willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
