Job Details We are seeking a dedicated and experienced medical malpractice attorney. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in cases, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, appearing in court, and preparing legal documents. The attorney will be responsible for communicating directly with clients on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Drafting and responding to discovery
Law and motion practice
Taking and defending depositions
Performing legal research
Managing all other litigation case management duties
Representing clients in court and during settlement negotiations
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active Bar license in the state of Ohio
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in litigation
Excellent research and writing skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage a caseload of 40 to 50 litigation files throughout all stages of litigation
Civil trial experience is a must
Ability to communicate compassionately and promptly with clients who are in distress
Team player with a positive personality and ambition to learn and succeed
