Ascension St. John Sportsplex is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead one of Tulsa’s premier multi-sport and entertainment facilities. This is a rare opportunity to combine operational leadership with community impact — overseeing a high-profile venue that serves athletes, families, and fans across the region. The GM will shape the future of the complex by driving revenue growth through tournaments, events, and innovative programming, while building and mentoring a strong team. With full P&L responsibility and direct access to ownership, this leader will have the resources and autonomy to make bold improvements, strengthen partnerships, and position the complex for long-term expansion. What the Role Entails
90-Day Performance Objectives: Build trust with staff, owners, and FC Tulsa stakeholders; conduct 1:1s with all 9 direct reports and clearly outline seat responsibilities. Complete a full operational audit of the facility, including programming, food & beverage, maintenance, and inventory management. Deliver a prioritized improvement plan. Begin weekly L10-style meetings, set clear expectations, and establish a rhythm for reporting (P&L updates, KPIs, and inventory tracking). Drive immediate improvements in weekend tournament scheduling and ensure marketing tools are being used consistently. 180-Day Performance Objectives: Implement inventory management system and accountability processes for staff; mentor food & beverage manager and programming leads to stabilize underperforming areas. Partner with owners and business manager to create and manage annual operating and capital budgets. Begin showing measurable improvements in expense control and revenue generation. Build a culture of LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability) across departments; identify high-potential staff for leadership development. 1-Year Performance Objectives: Stabilize facility P&L, with measurable improvements toward breaking even or reducing losses. Establish a sustainable marketing rhythm that fully leverages corporate systems, resulting in increased participation and awareness. Ensure all SOPs, seat responsibilities, and accountability processes are in place and functioning smoothly; create a replicable playbook for future facilities. Launch 1–2 new in-house programs or tournaments to increase facility utilization and diversify revenue streams.
