Overview
Immediate need for a highly motivated M&A Analyst (or Senior Analyst) to join our Transaction Advisory and Valuation team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with hands-on buy-side or sell-side experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for uncovering insights through data. You’ll work directly with leadership on middle market M&A transactions, providing financial due diligence, quality of earnings (QoE) analysis, and valuation advisory in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Lead and support financial due diligence and quality of earnings analyses, focusing on key income statement and balance sheet areas. Prepare and review valuation models in connection with M&A, purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment, and stock-based compensation. Apply core valuation frameworks, including ASC 805 (Purchase Price Allocation), ASC 350/360 (Goodwill & Long-lived Asset Impairment), IRC 409A (Stock-based Compensation Valuation), and ASC 718 (Expense Reporting). Conduct industry, company, and economic research to support transaction analyses and valuations. Build and manage financial models, budgets, and cash flow projections. Prepare client presentations and transaction reports, summarizing findings and recommendations. Leverage data analytics and visualization tools to present complex data clearly and efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver insightful financial advisory services. Support ongoing learning and development in financial analysis and deal execution. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or CFA is a plus. Minimum 2 years of M&A, transaction advisory, or valuation experience; 4+ years preferred for Senior Analyst consideration. Experience in buy-side or sell-side due diligence for middle-market companies ($10M–$250M). Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting, and valuation methodologies. Advanced proficiency in Excel (modeling and VBA); experience with SQL, Power BI, or data visualization tools is strongly preferred. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable working directly with senior management and clients. Employment Type
