As the Mid-Market Leader of Sales, you will demonstrate strong leadership, manage activities rigorously, and be accountable for plan achievement. You will lead a team of Account Executives selling a suite of ethics, compliance and risk management solutions to mid-market and specialty markets, and you will develop and implement a strategic business plan and direct sales forecasting. Develop and implement a global strategic sales plan to continually achieve or exceed targeted business objectives. Drive aggressive cross-sell / upsell revenue growth in the existing customer base across all vertical markets. Collaborate with peers across the business to secure new revenue within existing accounts. Travel to customer locations to support securing the business. Review market analysis with each Account Executive to ensure territory understanding. Provide accurate and timely territory plans and pipeline forecasts to senior sales management. Represent customer, market, and business issues back to senior sales leadership. Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition. Work with marketing to develop strategies that supply targeted vertical markets with relevant programs, materials, and awareness tactics. Attend initial in-person training and ongoing virtual product trainings to stay informed on industry trends and NAVEX solutions. Lead, coach, and inspire a diverse staff, promoting ongoing individual improvement and retention. Set clear individual and team goals, address performance issues, and adjust plans as needed. What you’ll need

A Bachelor’s degree and prior work-related experience. 10+ years of SMB / mid-market software sales experience (1,000+ employee headcount). 5+ years of successful sales leadership experience. Strong business management skills and familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., strategic selling, Miller Heiman, Solution Selling, SPIN, Challenger). Experience with one or more vertical industry markets and positioning products to meet customer needs. Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Proficiency with CRM usage (Salesforce.com a plus). Strong leadership and consensus-building skills to influence others through credibility and strategic planning. Quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting. A proven track record in developing and leading successful sales teams and managing underperformance when needed. Ability to drive results through influence, strategic execution, talent development, pipeline and forecast management, and product/market insight while upholding NAVEX’s values. Our side of the deal

Every team member is encouraged to have a career plan, reviewed with their manager after six months on the team. Starting pay rate for this role is $130,000 per year with a target variable pay of $125,000 based on individual achievement; variable pay is not guaranteed. Pay progression based on performance.
