Lead and manage traffic engineering and analysis tasks across multiple projects Develop plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic signal, ITS, and safety improvement projects Collaborate on intersection design, pedestrian and accessibility enhancements, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)/Traffic Control Plans (TCP), and signing/pavement marking plans Perform technical traffic studies, including traffic forecasting, demand modeling, capacity and operational analysis, warrant and speed studies, and crash evaluations Support business development by participating in client meetings and assisting with marketing and pursuit efforts Manage traffic project tasks including staffing, budget, scheduling, and quality assurance Contribute to innovative solutions such as alternative intersection designs Conduct site investigations and provide construction support as needed Help develop and grow new service areas within the traffic discipline Other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For
Skills
Experience with traffic analysis tools such as Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, and/or Vissim Experience in traffic signal design and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) Familiarity with the Highway Safety Manual and Highway Capacity Manual Working knowledge of travel demand modeling; experience with Visum, Cube, and/or TransCAD is a plus Familiarity with roadway design software such as OpenRoads Designer (preferred), PowerInRoads, or Civil 3D Understanding of MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book, and PROWAG guidelines Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly Proven ability to build effective internal and external client relationships Education/Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in transportation or traffic engineering Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred but not required PTOE certification is a plus Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 based on experience.
