About The Role The CrowdStrike DRIVE (Data, Reporting, Intelligence, Visualization, Engineering) centralized analytics team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Data Engineer III who will power internal data products for executives by building reliable datasets. The ideal candidate is a highly-technical individual contributor who enjoys the challenge of connecting data across multiple domains and architecting scalable solutions to drive insights at the highest level of the company.
What You’ll Do
Design and build performant, scalable data models and SQL-based pipelines that power executive reporting solutions.
Develop modular, maintainable, and well-documented DBT models to standardize business logic and ensure consistency across data products.
Optimize large datasets in Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse) with a focus on query performance, resource efficiency, and ease of use for downstream consumers.
Implement automated processes for data validation, ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy and integrity across all pipelines.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to deeply understand reporting needs and translate them into clean, reliable, and intuitive datasets.
Partner closely with business teams to understand key metrics and definitions, then implement them in SQL and dbt for consistent usage across reporting layers.
Act as a translator between business goals and technical implementation, converting high-level requirements into performant queries and scalable data assets.
Continuously monitor and fine‑tune data workflows, SQL queries and cloud resources to improve data processing performance, reduce latency and optimise costs.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s in any STEM field
12+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience, with at least 4 years supporting Marketing, Sales or Finance teams.
Significant experience building optimised datasets, automating pipelines and monitoring data quality for Tableau (or other data visualisation tool).
Expert‑level SQL skills with a track record of delivering large, performant datasets and dashboards in Tableau or a similar BI tool.
Deep familiarity with Snowflake or other modern cloud‑based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift).
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, self‑direct work and move quickly without sacrificing data quality.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation or lightweight data transformations.
Experience with dbt and best practices for building scalable analytics codebases.
Experience with business tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, People.ai.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $145,000 - $220,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
