KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO Partners and is currently seeking a remote contractor in Montvale, NJ. Responsibilities
Take ownership of the UI across the app you are working on to ensure a consistent and refined user experience Develop web UIs with a strong focus on front-of-the-frontend best practices including layout, interactions, and accessibility Work within an agile team of backend and full stack engineers to integrate UI code with business logic, services, and data sources Advocate for the user and articulate design principles to the development team Convert Figma prototypes into UI code and ensure technical feasibility Collaborate with UX designers, contribute to design decisions, and identify gaps Utilize and contribute to the Tax Design System - an in-house design system of UI components and patterns Refactor and optimize existing UIs Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment Qualifications
Minimum five years of recent experience as a UI developer or hybrid designer/developer Deep knowledge of CSS, flexbox and grid layout, and cutting-edge CSS techniques; confidence in writing CSS without third party UI libraries like Bootstrap and Tailwind Strong understanding of HTML, semantics, and accessibility Professional experience with modern UI frameworks, preferably Angular 2+ with TypeScript and JavaScript ES6 Comfort using Git, NPM, Azure DevOps Cross-functional creative and technical skillset to think like a designer and a developer Knowledge of HCI principles and how to incorporate them into day-to-day development Strong written and verbal communications skills Experience with large-scale enterprise applications is a plus Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future Pay Rate Range
Min Pay Rate: $60 USD hourly Max Pay Rate: $80 USD hourly KPMG complies with all local/state regulations in regard to displaying pay rate ranges. The pay rate ranges displayed are specifically for those contracted to perform work in or reside in the listed location(s). Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including market data, ranges, applicant\'s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and specific location. Additionally, applicants may be required to apply and become employed by a service provider utilized by KPMG, and final pay rate and/or eligibility for additional benefits may be determined by such provider.
