$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr Position : Business Analyst (Data Focus) Exact Location : Hybrid Seattle office 3 days a week in Seattle or Miami office – after a few months itll likely be 1x a week onsite Company : Holland America: Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, Duration : 6-12 month Contract to hire Pay Rate : $30-$40/HR 1st - 30 minute interview with manager 2nd - 30 minute final functional interview with Sr. manager and Director DAY TO DAY A major publicly traded company in the travel industry is looking for two junior Business Analysts or data analysts (since there is a data manipulation component) to join a crew planning organization that handles the crew management systems from a development, business intelligence, and business analysis standpoint. This position will fill a key role in designing analytics and reporting that drive business decisions and solutions. They will work with a cross-functional team of Reporting Analysts, BI Developers and Data Architects to partner with stakeholders, generate reports, design analytics that drive insights, and develop creative solutions/tools to meet the needs of the business. This person will be responsible for gathering use cases, defining requirements, and supporting the execution of various initiatives and reports to the Senior Manager, HR Reporting & Analytics. More day to day responsibilities include the following: Acts as liaison between business partners and Reporting & Analytics team in developing analytics and business solutions impacting both shoreside and shipboard users. Forges effective relationships within the HR division and with stakeholders throughout the company to proactively understand needs and priorities Acts as single point of contact in partnership with stakeholders to understand what they really need, develop solutions, define requirements, and translate them into technical specifications Collaborates with development team to propose solutions via minimum viable products that validate and improve the effectiveness of these solutions Ensures solutions comply with PII, SOX and other laws and regulations Develops an expert level understanding of major business processes and associated data Reviews current reporting to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for new efficiencies. Creates and maintains documentation pertaining to the reporting catalog, data dictionary, and similar items Participates in long term strategy for HR Reporting & Analytics. MUST HAVES 1+ year of data analysis or business analysis experience (more than an internship) Proficient in M365 including Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, data manipulation in Excel) Experience working with a ticketing system (like ServiceNow) PLUSSES Travel or and cruise line industry experience Power BI or HRIS experience or familiarity ServiceNow experience Data compliance background or experience Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
