Candescent As the Sr. Manager, Pre Sales Engineer - Terafina, you will lead a team of Pre-Sales Consulting Engineers who serve as trusted technical and business advisors to financial institutions evaluating our Account Opening platforms. You will guide and mentor your team in delivering exceptional product demonstrations, discovery sessions, and solution strategies that align with client needs and business outcomes. This role bridges technical expertise and strategic leadership—driving consistency, excellence, and scalability across all pre-sales engagements. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Professional Services leadership to align solution strategies with our go-to-market goals, influence roadmap decisions, and ensure our solutions continue to lead the market in digital banking innovation. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Solution Consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning. Define performance goals, ensure professional development plans are in place, and establish clear success metrics for each team member. Conduct regular 1:1s and team sessions focused on discovery, demo excellence, and sales alignment. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new Solution Consultants to ensure readiness and consistency across the team. Pre-Sales Excellence & Enablement: Oversee the quality and effectiveness of all product demonstrations, workshops, and discovery engagements. Establish best practices and reusable assets for discovery, solution design, and presentation delivery. Partner with Sales leadership to ensure proper deal alignment and resource allocation based on complexity, size, and strategic importance. Manage the pre-sales lifecycle, including qualification support, RFP/RFI responses, solution assessments, and competitive positioning. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to provide structured client feedback that informs product strategy and roadmap priorities. Partner with Marketing and Enablement to refine messaging, develop case studies, and ensure demo environments reflect current market narratives. Serve as a liaison between Pre-Sales and Professional Services to ensure proposed solutions transition smoothly to delivery. Client & Market Engagement: Act as an executive-level solution advisor in key client engagements and strategic pursuits. Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory shifts affecting digital banking and account opening. Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and thought leadership forums. Operational & Strategic Accountability: Develop and manage reporting dashboards for team utilization, coverage, win rates, and engagement quality. Continuously assess and improve pre-sales processes to enhance scalability, consistency, and effectiveness. Partner with Sales Operations and the CRO organization to forecast resourcing needs and measure pre-sales impact on revenue. Qualifications And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. 3-7 years of experience in a Solution Consulting, Pre-Sales, or Business Analyst role within the digital banking or fintech industry. Strong understanding of digital banking platforms, core banking systems, APIs, and fintech integrations. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value. Experience with cloud-based banking solutions, mobile banking, payments, and security best practices is a plus.
