Overview
Interim Associate Director of Student Housing and Engagement. Duration: 2-6 Months | Full-Time, Temporary (Live-Out Position). Corestaff, a Swipejobs company, is seeking an Interim Associate Director of Student Housing and Engagement to support one of our higher education clients. This temporary role will help foster a positive residential experience for approximately 2,000 students by overseeing residential programs, staff development, and community engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs, the Associate Director will work closely with housing staff and colleagues across the Division of Student Experience and Success to ensure consistency in operations, policy implementation, and student support. Base pay range:
$50.00/hr - $52.00/hr . Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain data-driven reports (weekly, monthly, semester, and annual) on housing operations, programming, and student conduct. Partner with residential leadership teams to design and deliver comprehensive training and development programs for live-in staff, including preservice, semester, and mid-year sessions. Collaborate with the Office of Community Standards to oversee student conduct case management and ensure timely and fair resolution processes. Support the management of a campus-affiliated apartment-style residential complex, including maintaining strong communication with third-party partners. Contribute to the development of student engagement and leadership initiatives within residential communities. Perform other duties as assigned by university leadership. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated experience in student affairs, housing, or residential education within a higher education setting. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships across departments. Proven skills in conflict resolution, multicultural programming, leadership training, and event coordination. Strong organizational and administrative abilities, including staff supervision and assessment of program effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience managing residence life or housing programs, including supervision of professional staff. Practical understanding and application of student and residential development theory. Conditions of Employment
Temporary live-out position (no housing provided). Evening, weekend, and break-period availability required. Designated as an Essential Employee, which may require on-site presence during emergencies or campus closures.
