The VP Training & Development leads the training initiatives and drives the development of our employees. The role is responsible for the development and implementation of all aspects of ORNL Federal Credit Union’s training programs, policies, and objectives to develop and maintain an effective workforce. Collaborates with functional management teams to assess training and development needs as well as to gauge the effectiveness of established programs. The VP of Training and Development will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs that align with the Credit Union’s business objectives and promote continuous learning and growth. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive training and development strategies aligned with organizational goals. Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs and learning initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify training needs and priorities. Lead, mentor, and manage the training and development team. Monitor and report on training effectiveness and ROI. Ensure all credit union-specific regulatory and compliance training needs are met. Manage the training budget and ensure cost-effective program delivery. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Experience
Ten or more years of progressive experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with courses in Human Resources, Communications, Adult Education, Training and Development, Counseling and Psychology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience is required. Master’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred. ATD certification preferred. Other skills
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills required with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to address new problems and issues with unique solutions. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Must have high proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strategic Planning. Project Management. Seniority level
