Jobs via Dice JOB SUMMARY Assists in the management of all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Provides input for the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues. Responsibilities
Assist in the management of all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with attention to safety, security and asset protection. Provide input for the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Maintain regulatory requirements and lead the emergency response team for all facility issues. Supervise the day-to-day operations of Engineering. Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems. Establish and manage effective rooms maintenance programs; verify compliance with Engineering policies, standards and procedures. Monitor department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals; select and order new equipment, supplies and furnishings. Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine work requirements; arrange for additional services such as painting, repair, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment. Maintain property standards and accurate logs/records; plan, schedule and evaluate preventative maintenance programs. Provide exceptional customer service; handle guest problems and complaints effectively; empower employees to deliver high-quality service. Participate in profitability efforts by communicating objectives and ensuring awareness of business goals. Engage in human resources activities: recognize staff contributions, maintain open relationships, ensure fair treatment, provide feedback, support disciplinary procedures per SOPs/LSOPs, and promote safety and regulatory compliance. Qualifications
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in engineering/maintenance or related area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing. OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years of relevant experience; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
