Your Mission: Estimating & Sales Execution
You will serve as the crucial link between project scope and profitable execution, utilizing a powerful combination of technical mastery and commercial savvy. Responsibilities Strategic Project Analysis & Bidding: Decipher the blueprint, conduct exhaustive study of complex job plans, construction specifications, and technical scope documents. The Precision Take-Off: Lead the charge in preparing meticulous take-offs and estimates by researching contracts, job specifications, and schematic drawings; account for material, labor, logistics, and ensure alignment with company profit policies. Secure the Win: Prepare the final, compelling quote and deploy your sales acumen to secure the sale, transforming estimates into awarded contracts. Public Sector Scout: Proactively research and identify public bid opportunities for government and municipal projects. RFI Management: Submit any necessary Requests for Information to the job owner to ensure clarity and a risk-free quote. Product & Process Command: Maintain deep knowledge of company products, services, and capabilities, including materials, specifications, functionality, and assembly requirements. Estimation Integrity: Document estimating logic and analysis using MS Excel or industry-standard estimating software. Sales, Customer Focus & Account Leadership: Establish rapport with decision-makers and technical staff; serve as primary contact handling inquiries, issues, and scope changes; manage key accounts to maximize retention and pursue new opportunities; revise bid documents to reflect scope changes. Interdepartmental Synergy: Collaborate with Purchasing for efficient procurement and with Warehouse and Accounting for inventory, delivery schedules, and payment processing. What You Bring: The Winning Profile Elite Construction Estimating Experience: 4–6 years in construction, manufacturing, or related technical estimating with exposure to complex projects. Degree of Distinction: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred. Sales & Service Power: At least 2 years in sales and customer service within a commercial B2B or B2G model. Estimating & Pricing Mastery: Expert knowledge of estimation methodologies, quotation protocols, and pricing strategies. Blueprint Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret detailed specifications and trade drawings. Independent Drive: Ability to work independently and optimize procedures for high-volume work. Technical Toolkit: Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with CRM software. Mathematical Acuity: Strong math skills for accurate, profitable estimation.
