Payroll Business Partner I

for our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) solution. This role serves as the primary client liaison for employer-level concerns and provides first-level support predominately over the phone across several complex functional areas. The role emphasizes compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment and tax laws and requires the ability to monitor, evaluate, and, when needed, redirect client actions. This role acts as a trusted payroll advisor and client service professional by delivering timely and accurate payroll compliance guidance and solutions that positively impact the client’s business and support client retention and growth. You will troubleshoot client and product challenges, educate clients, develop partnerships with stakeholders, and demonstrate the depth of care that enhances the ADP client relationship. To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable in a metrics-driven environment and able to communicate clearly with clients over the phone and in writing. You should be professional, build rapport, establish trust, and maintain high client satisfaction scores. The role supports a culture that values inclusion and collaboration. WHAT YOU’LL DO Responsibilities Be a Trusted Advisor and Problem Solver. Use your breadth of expertise to solve time-sensitive issues by identifying solutions and achieving positive outcomes. Build Relationships. Communicate with clients via phone, email, and/or chat; strive to exceed expectations and uphold ADP’s core value of Integrity is Everything. Educate and Provide Recommendations. Leverage product knowledge to help clients understand value and translate client input into actionable recommendations. Organize. Maintain a daily schedule and manage a high volume of inbound calls; peak-season workload is expected. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE Required Qualifications 0-1 year of client and/or service experience. You can work overtime during peak seasons. Preferred Qualifications A college degree is not required; relevant experience includes: experience noted above, or military experience. Certifications such as Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are a plus. Get paid to volunteer (company-paid time off). Base salary range: USD $16.35 - $33.17 per hour. Actual compensation will comply with applicable minimum wage requirements.
