Valor Healthcare is looking for a passionate Clinical Medical Director to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Williston, ND. Valor operates more than 55 VA CBOCs in the United States as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, providing a full range of medical services to veterans through CBOCs tailored to meet local VA medical center needs. Services include primary care, diagnostics, laboratory, telehealth, behavioral health, and more. Responsibilities

Actively participate in and oversee the diagnoses and treatment of our veterans. Manage day-to-day medical operations, ensure high-quality clinical care, and provide exceptional customer service. Achieve and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through periodic chart reviews, direct observation, and adherence to VA guidelines. Ensure all colleagues provide excellent customer service to veterans, both in person and over the phone, as well as to fellow colleagues and clinic visitors. Participate in managing the clinic’s financial performance. Participate in the clinic’s outreach events to support enrollment initiatives. Support patient enrollment and retention by providing guidance on scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits as needed. Maintain staffing levels consistent with veteran enrollment and contract terms while maintaining clinical outcomes. Review and analyze reporting and response to alerts and notifications. Ensure clinic metrics meet or exceed VA thresholds. Emphasize recruiting, coaching, mentoring, retaining talent, and enforcing key competencies through training and performance management when required. Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with VA partners, and keep the Regional Medical Director informed of significant issues. Innovate and support new initiatives, clinically or operationally, and execute on strategic initiatives that drive Valor’s success. Qualifications

4+ years of clinical medical practice with healthcare management experience preferred; government healthcare environment preferred; specific requirements may vary based on VA contract. Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree. Board certified in family practice or internal medicine. Must be credentialed and in good standing with the Veterans Health Administration (VA). Valid, unrestricted license in the state of employment, or in any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS as specified by the VA contract. Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Excellent computer skills. Ability to manage, communicate effectively up and down the organization. Energetic and optimistic demeanor with a strong service mindset and focus on defined service standards. Ability to resolve colleague, client, and patient issues in a timely and effective manner.
