Overview
Senior Manager, Global Procurement - Direct (Raw Material). This role is focused on end-to-end procurement strategies/processes and global category execution in Contract Development and Manufacturing Operations. The position may be based at one of Regeneron’s Manufacturing Operations locations in the Capitol Region in NY, USA, or Limerick, IRE, and requires onsite work 5 days per week. Responsibilities
Develops and executes global/local sourcing strategies for the respective area of spend responsibility and optimizes value within the organization. Leads, or collaborates with stakeholder teams to address sourcing needs when supply market analysis is required to meet business requirements. Manages all aspects of sourcing events including RFPs/RFQs/RFIs (RFx). Develops and executes global/local market sourcing initiatives to optimize value, quality, innovation, speed to market, or other business needs. Identifies global/local supply market projects and applies sourcing tools to optimize benefits to Regeneron. Contracting
Negotiates commercial terms of contractual agreements with suppliers/spend under management, including pricing, delivery, payment terms, and quality. Partner with the law department, quality, risk management, and supply chain to include relevant contractual terms and conditions. Supplier/SRM
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives including performance meetings, scorecards, review of performance metrics, and managing supplier relationships to achieve category strategy goals. Develops and implements strategies to drive supplier performance objectives and delivered outcomes (e.g., savings, SLAs, delivery, quality); supports stakeholders in using contracted suppliers when appropriate. Continuous Improvement
Supports continuous improvements of the source-to-contract process; participates in audits and compliance reviews; collaborates with sourcing/category teams on initiatives. Encourages continuous improvement ideas and participates in CI initiatives per year. Assists in informing stakeholders about sourcing and contract processes and identifies system/process enhancements. Direct Materials Management
Works with stakeholders to support contracted suppliers for the spend category and reviews/approves POs in Oracle workflow within approved limits. Ensures contracts and quotes are reflected on POs and attaches executive summaries if applicable. Qualifications & Requirements
Working knowledge of Sourcing Contracting, ERP, and eRFX systems (Oracle, Zycus, iCertis, or other). Ability to use standard business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for communication, presentation, and analysis. Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred; advanced negotiation skills; cost modeling knowledge; excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to formulate presentations and business cases; ability to build consensus and collaborate in a team with limited supervision. Program and project management experience required. Educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant progressive experience (preferably 6 years in pharma/biotech sourcing) or Master’s degree plus 6+ years (preferably 4 years in pharma/biotech sourcing). CPSM/CPM preferred. Compensation & Equal Opportunity
Salary: $124,400.00 - $203,000.00 annually (range shown for U.S. roles; local variations may apply).
