Pegasus Tech Ventures is looking for a VC Analyst (Remote) to evaluate investment and commercial opportunities across the Energy Transition for our corporate partners.
Pegasus Tech Ventures is a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley with $2B in Assets Under Management and 40+ multinational corporations. Some of our corporate partners include Marathon Petroleum Corporation, AISIN Group, Denka, and Niterra. Some of our portfolio companies include SpaceX, Twitter, Carbon Clean Solutions, and Brilliant Planet. Pegasus Tech Ventures is also the founder of the Startup World Cup, the world’s largest startup competition held in 65+ regional locations annually, with a $1,000,000 investment prize.
Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across the energy transition landscape, with a focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, and other clean technologies.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the energy transition market, trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the corporation to align investment strategies with business objectives and sustainability goals.
Lead due diligence, financial modeling, and deal execution for investment opportunities.
Manage and nurture portfolio companies, acting as an advisor and providing strategic guidance to help them scale and achieve commercial success.
Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, co-investors, and other key stakeholders in the energy transition ecosystem.
Represent Pegasus Tech Ventures at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance the company’s presence in the energy transition space.
Monitor and report on portfolio performance, investment trends, and emerging opportunities to our corporate partner.
Contribute to the development of the company’s overall energy transition strategy, providing insights and recommendations based on market intelligence and investment experience.
Qualifications
In-depth understanding of the energy transition landscape, including key players, technologies, and market dynamics.
Experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking, with a focus on the energy sector; direct experience in energy transition investments is a strong plus.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and navigate a large, complex organization.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Passion for driving positive change in the energy industry and commitment to sustainability.
