Estimating Professional (Data Centers) role at Jacobs. This role is part of the Advanced Manufacturing team and focuses on leading and applying estimating expertise for data center projects, with potential involvement in other industrial facilities as needed. Responsibilities
Develop and execute the strategy and plan for estimating activities that support the overall proposal strategy and project requirements. Coordinate deliverables with the project team and provide guidance on project deliverables related to estimating. Review and contribute to the interpretation of requests for proposal or project contracts; identify risk areas and participate in mitigation planning. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel. Collaborate with clients and internal teams across various markets (industrial, chemical, pulp & paper, general manufacturing, electric vehicles, pharmaceuticals) to support data center and other project types. Qualifications
Minimum of ten years progressive experience in an estimating role for industrial project execution or project management in industrial projects. Estimating and construction experience in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines for data centers. Experience with Cost-OS, Sage Estimating (Timberline) or similar estimating software platforms. Demonstrated understanding of estimating organizational structure and processes, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, contingency/risk, markup structures, and estimate documentation. Preferred/Ideal
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field. Experience in markets such as EV/Batteries or Specialty Chemicals. Proficiency in quantitative risk analysis using software like @Risk and Monte Carlo; experience with Aspen CCE or other parametric tools. Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar professional association. Base pay range
