This role will shape and implement cutting-edge financial risk strategies that drive sustainable growth, minimize losses, and enhance the customer experience. Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end development and execution of financial risk strategies—from opportunity identification to design, testing, launch, and post-production performance monitoring.

Leverage large-scale transactional and behavioral datasets to build, optimize, and automate credit risk policies for payments, payroll, bill pay, and checking products.

Partner cross-functionally with data science, risk operations, product, analytics, and engineering teams to design innovative, data-informed solutions that balance growth with risk control.

Develop customer segmentation strategies to target risk more precisely and unlock new business opportunities while maintaining financial integrity.

Evaluate and integrate third-party data providers and models, supporting enhanced decisioning around credit, fraud, and operational risk.

Design and execute controlled experiments to test new methodologies and continuously improve the accuracy, precision, and ROI of risk strategies.

Serve as a thought partner and subject matter expert on emerging financial risk trends, bringing external perspective to shape internal strategy.

Qualifications

Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience.

6+ years of experience in financial risk analytics, fraud prevention, payments, or credit strategy within fintech, banking, or related industries.

Technical proficiency in SQL and Python; strong Excel and data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau). Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks is a plus.

Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Deep understanding of risk modeling, loss forecasting, fraud mitigation, and payment processing fundamentals.

Demonstrated strategic thinking, creativity, and sound judgment in high-impact decision environments.

Strong business acumen with a passion for innovation, a bias for action, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.

Compensation and Benefits Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
