Overview
General Surgeon Opportunity in Scenic Northern Maine. This Jobot Consulting role is hosted by Katie McDaniel.
Base pay range: $100.00/hr - $1,000.00/hr. Salary depends on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
Assignment duration: 3 months to start, with possibility for extension.
Schedule: Monday–Friday; if OR day, start around 7:30 AM; if clinic day, start around 8:00 AM. Rarely does an OR day go past 2:00 PM. Clinic days are generally full days. Low-volume call.
Perform bread & butter general surgery cases and related procedures as assigned.
Provide patient care in collaboration with OR staff and clinic team.
Qualifications
Specialty: General Surgery.
Board certification: Board Certified preferred, but BE (Board Eligible) acceptable.
Minimum experience: 5 years (approximate).
Endoscopy/Colonoscopy required: Yes.
Patient ages: 18+, with occasional pediatric cases as needed.
Patient volume: typical weekly workload includes colonoscopies, general surgery cases, and clinic visits.
EMR system: Cerner Community Works.
Support staff: Full OR staff, RNs, OR Techs, two assigned MAs in clinic, NP supporting own patients.
