Job Title CT Associate Manager – Chemical Threat Laboratory Supervisor
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the OD2A Opioids Testing project.
Supervise the Chemical Threat Laboratory personnel.
Validate, implement, and maintain opioids drug testing.
Validate, implement, and maintain Blood Lead and Laboratory Response Network Chemical Threat (LRN‑C) methods.
Train and cross‑train staff in all CT methods.
Perform laboratory testing of clinical samples for opioids, blood lead, and chemical threat agents.
Ensure staff competencies are documented and up to date.
Review laboratory testing data and reports for validity and accuracy.
Review and revise laboratory procedure manuals.
Manage inventory of supplies and reagents.
Assist with managing budgets.
Perform high complexity testing on LC‑QTOF, ICP‑MS, GC‑MSD, and LC‑MS/MS.
Implement and ensure compliance with DPH and GPHL Quality Assurance procedures and policies.
Employ and participate in workforce development activities.
Oversee compliance with biosafety and security procedures.
Prepare for and respond to emergency events.
Adhere to HIPAA safety and security policies.
Qualifications Associate degree in a related science area from an accredited college or university, certification as a Medical Technologist, MT (ASCP), and four (4) years of job‑related science experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Medical/Clinical Specialist 3 (LSP012) or equivalent position.
Employment Information State of Georgia employees are subject to the rules of the State Personnel Board regarding salary. The DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid. The candidate selected for this position may be subject to pre‑employment drug screening and a criminal background check. Relocation assistance is not provided.
