Requirements
Must Have
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years in software development, including internships or entry-level positions with experience in full-stack or backend roles.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with JavaScript and specifically the React framework for building basic web applications; experience with state management tools is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of simple APIs and database interactions; experience with Go is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Required experience with a SQL database system; familiarity with PostgreSQL and PostGIS is desirable.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of Agile/Scrum fundamentals and proficiency in tools like Jira, Git, and basic CI/CD setups.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design and implementation of API integrations between One Red, HydroData, and ProducerConnect, facilitating secure data synchronization.
Develop and enhance frontend components using React to create user-friendly interfaces for data visualization and workflows.
Contribute to backend services in Go, focusing on data processing, basic error handling, and optimization with oversight.
Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, engage in code reviews, and meet sprint goals.
Write and test code using frameworks such as Jest or Go’s testing package, concentrating on unit tests for assigned features.
Troubleshoot issues with team support, utilizing monitoring tools to maintain system stability.
Document code sections and APIs to promote team knowledge sharing.
Engage in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute insights and learn from others.

We are in search of a driven Junior Software Developer to assist in executing a vital integration project: “One Red integration into HydroData and ProducerConnect.” This role will include engaging with both backend and frontend components to connect these systems, improving data flow for our agricultural SaaS platform. As a project-based hire, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a high‑impact initiative, with the potential for transitioning to a permanent role if the project is extended based on its success and business requirements. This is an 8‑month engagement commencing on November 1, 2025, where you will develop in a collaborative Agile environment utilizing tools such as Jira and Git. We prefer candidates who possess foundational experience in JavaScript and the React framework for UIs and/or Go for backend services, with a passion for addressing integration challenges in data‑intensive domains. Your employment will be project‑based and at‑will, tied to the successful completion of the “One Red integration into HydroData and ProducerConnect” project. While the role is expected to last around eight months, it may end sooner or extend based on project milestones. We retain the option to extend your project duration or convert this role into a regular position depending on business needs, project extensions, funding, and individual performance, with any changes communicated in writing at least 30 days prior to the expected project end date. All intellectual property developed during your employment will belong to Longitude 103, and a standard NDA will be required.
