Business Data & Analytics (BDA) is focused on leveraging data to drive better business decisions and better outcomes. We are a trusted thought-partner who provides actionable insights in a consistent and timely manner. We leverage close, collaborative working relationships with business partners to apply technology solutions to a wide array of business problems and Business Intelligence needs.
We are looking for a highly experienced, self-driven Analytics Developer, well versed in business intelligence reporting, data analysis, statistical analytics, relational databases, SQL, cloud computing, and Tableau. As a member of an organization with broad business impact, you will work directly with business partners and colleagues to develop and support leadership reporting for our Digital Assets organization, taking a consultative approach to storytelling and insights, while building a strong relationship with business leadership. This will include a high degree of data visualization with embedded analytics, user-driven analysis capabilities, all geared toward driving action and business growth. This role will support the Digital Assets organization but will sit in the Schwab Data org, on the team supporting Trading & Education Analytics (TEA). This role will be responsible for reporting and insights related to Schwab’s Digital Assets offering, both existing and future, and will work hand-in-hand with the business to help grow the Digital Assets strategy.
What You’ll Do
Work directly with business leaders to understand underlying business needs, critical path, and timeline surrounding key goals
Lead efforts in providing business performance visibility on scalable business intelligence and reporting platforms to drive business results
Develop optimal business intelligence strategies to satisfy short and longer-term priorities with solutions ranging from traditional to modern, interactive reporting tools
Leverage an analytic mindset to visualize key trends and insights for strategic decision making
Work with a robust data warehouse and reporting tools to deliver high-impact production reports used by executives across the organization
Help build out a robust and scalable reporting and table infrastructure in Google Cloud data warehouse
Collaborate with cross-organizational/functional teams to achieve desired business outcomes
Adopt leading practices to create efficiencies and drive better results-oriented outcomes
Design, develop, automate, and maintain data processes that derive performance measures and dimensions
Leverage Agile methodologies and best practices recommendations
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience with Business Intelligence and/or Data Analytics
5+ years of experience SQL structured programming, ad hoc queries, and data analysis development using BigQuery, Teradata, Oracle, and/or Microsoft SQL Server
5+ years of experience in creating highly interactive data visualization dashboards with Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server using features such as data blending, extracts, LOD calculations, filters, actions, parameters, context filters, sets, groups and aggregate measures
Experience with Crypto data and/or familiarity with and passion for the concepts of Crypto
Experience developing dashboard wireframes and design requirements with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations
Ability to coordinate, compile and analyze highly complex reporting requests for the organization from a variety of data sources
Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision makers to satisfy short and long-term business priorities and strategy
Perform rigorous testing to assess the quality and accuracy of data and identify inconsistencies with a recommended corrective action play
Experience with communication/interaction with business partners up to the Managing Director level
Experience partnering closely with internal cross-function technology team members and analysts to deliver reporting projects that solve business requirements
Ability to consistently deliver solid, successful solutions with short development cycles that meet or exceed business requirements
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
