Overview

Advanced Systems Engineer position at Honeywell. Design, develop and integrate highly complex systems within Honeywell, participating in the full systems life cycle from business development through end of life. This role focuses on control systems within the Environmental Control Systems (ECS) organization and involves work on a variety of aircraft types. Location: Torrance, CA with a Hybrid schedule. Key Responsibilities

System requirements definition and validation analysis including architecture, functionality and dynamic performance. Apply MBSE principles and methodologies to ECS/VCS systems, promoting a model-based approach throughout the engineering lifecycle and ensuring high-quality models. Hardware and software requirements definition and analysis, including interfaces and performance characteristics. Coordinate development processes and handoffs between internal and external stakeholders; communicate with chief engineering and technical management. System integration test support including facility architecture, test plans/procedures, test execution support and results review. Root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis for control systems, defining robust solutions to issues identified during testing. Execute control system integration and dynamic analysis standard processes and best practices. Product Line Engineering leadership for the Vapor Cycle System Product Line. Qualifications

You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics). 4+ years of systems integration experience, such as control development or hardware/software work on vapor cycle systems. We Value Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering. Control systems integration experience in Aerospace. Experience with air and thermal systems (pressure, flow management, heat transfer, reverse Brayton cycle). Model Based Systems Engineering experience and tools (e.g., Cameo). Experience with requirements management tools (IBM DOORS/ELM). Matlab/Simulink or Simscape experience. Technical excellence and leadership; ability to deliver robust solutions on time and within budget. Systems engineering processes knowledge (requirements validation and decomposition, ARP4754A or equivalent). Technical experience in control system design (closed-loop control and logic). Familiarity with Agile development of integrated mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Knowledge of aerospace standards for Environmental Test (DO-160), Software Development (DO-178C), and Electronic Hardware Development (DO-254). Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. About Honeywell

Annual base salary range: $116,000 – $145,000. Offers are determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate experience, and market considerations. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) and more; details available on request. Additional Information
