Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer to join our Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Team This position can be based in Linthicum, MD or Rolling Meadows, IL.

Primary Responsibilities

Support the Payload Systems Engineering team in Model Based Systems Engineering efforts using Cameo including requirements creation and maintenance, verification and validation planning, architecture definition, and CDRL creation.

Engage with subsystem teams to define requirements and architecture at the subsystem level and below.

Engage with the Space Vehicle and Ground teams to model and manage interfaces.

This position can be staffed at a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer level, based on the basic qualifications below:

Basic Qualifications

Systems Engineer: Bachelor degree in STEM curriculum with 2 years relevant experience; 0 years with an MS degree.

Principal Engineer: Bachelor degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with an MS degree; or a PhD with 1 year of experience.

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

Systems engineering experience (e.g., requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation).

Model Based Systems Engineering experience with working knowledge of Cameo.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in Cameo.

Space experience.

Sensor/payload experience.

Active TS/SCI clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
