The Opportunity

At Kipsu, our QA Analysts play a key role in ensuring that our product is of high quality. They take a leading role in guiding these efforts in both the short and long term, and help share our culture of quality and commitment to serving our customers. QA Analysts are part of an expanding team of three within our Engineering team, and work closely with our Software Engineers and Product Analysts, as well as our Support team.

What You’ll Do

Write and execute QA test plans on new features, enhancements, and bug fixes

Contribute to requirements analysis for new product development

Verify and reproduce bugs reported by customers

Participate in planning and estimation efforts as part of cross-functional development team

Perform release testing and handle release communication in conjunction with our release cycle

Maintain a library of system test plans and perform regression testing

Contribute test cases used to develop end-to-end test automation

Assist in the growth and development of the QA organization by encouraging and proposing QA best practices

Act as a subject matter expert by obtaining product expertise through everyday interactions with our system

What We’re Looking For

1+ years of experience in a technology role or working for a tech company; experience as a QA Analyst a plus

Basic understanding of APIs. This could be using tools like Postman or Swagger, or via code. Tell us about what you've done!

Attention to detail and organization – You take pride in your work and in knowing that we have covered all the bases

An enthusiasm for software that works as intended, and a healthy dose of irritation when it doesn’t

Creativity in thinking – The best QA Analysts have a knack for thinking, “how else could this break?”

A curiosity or fascination with how technology works "under the hood"

A passion for finding creative solutions for hard-to-solve problems

Persistence in reaching your goals, even when you've run into some obstacles along the way

Bonus points if you have some technical knowledge of performance testing, editing HTML, using the command line, SQL, or related technical experience

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $65,000- $80,000/yr.
